Mandatory insurance Required By Law

When you own a car, you are required to have mandatory insurance (ביטוח חובה) (required by law) to be able to drive your vehicle at any time of the day or night on the public highway. There are areas where you do not need a licence but in general, you will not be able to use your car to anywere without the mandatory insurance that we all required to have. The insurance is not the only aspect that is required as in the UK for example, you need to have a valid driving licence as well a valid Mot for your car.

The mandatory insurance (required by law) along with the other aspects are all required before you drive your car away from the garage you purchase it, or from the home of the previous owner if the car has been via a private sale.

When applying for the mandatory insurance, it can be useful to look at a range of car insurance companies that offer insurance cover. Depending on your age, sex, how long you have been driving can affect the overall price, as well as the actual car you are looking to buy or have just purchased.

Without the car insurance, you are breaking the law and land yourself in deep trouble if caught, or happen to have an accident and need your car repaired or you have injured someone in the process.
